Some changes are due to slow processes, such as erosion and weathering, and some changes are due to rapid processess, such as landslides, volcanic eruptions, and earthquakes.
Most microorganisms do not cause disease, and many are beneficial. Key Concept- Bacteria, mold, and fungi National Standard-All organisms cause changes in the environment where they live. Some of these changes are detrimental to the organism or other organisms, whereas others are beneficial.
